There is an amazing number of things that you could organize just within your internet browser that will save you a tremendous amount of time. Think about it for a second. If you can save a minute or two every time you sat down to use your computer, how much would that add up to over the course of a year. I compiled a list of suggestions that I have done to save myself some time. See if you can find one or two useful.
Everybody needs a primary search engine. I prefer Google for the time being but Bing has been going up in my book. I like the fact that Google has gotten much better at filtering spam laden sites. I think that Yahoo and MSN do a better job of showing more on topic results when you are searching for online shops. If I need to know how to do anything, I usually Google it. If I need to find a store that sells something, I check Bing or Yahoo.
EBay is another website that I could not function without. EBay is perfect for finding anything that you cant think of a local store for. There are times when you need to buy something yet you have no idea where you could find something like that. That is when EBay comes in really handy.
I maintain a folder of links that helps me come up with gift ideas for people I need to shop for on a regular basis. It is a lot easier to find something decent for mom when you have a few links to get you thinking. Then when you are just surfing and come across the perfect idea, you can save it for future use.
Amazon.com is one of my most commonly frequented websites. I purchase all different kinds of things on there from computer software to hardcover books. I really love the fact that they offer used books on their site. I would rather buy my books as cheaply as I can. It is awesome that they offer you both the new and not new choices.
I maintain a whole folder in my favorites that I used to keep links of possible vacation trips. This way during the year when I some across some place new that looks like a great place to take the better half, I can bookmark it. Then when the time comes to decide on a vacation, Ive got an assortment of great links at my disposal.
