Angel Costumes - Perfect For Your Little Girls Party
Every bride-to-be wants to have a great hen night and dressing up is a fantastic way of making sure you have a night to remember. There is such a wide range of costumes and accessories available, that deciding on your theme can be a difficult task. There are so many other arrangements that have to be made for the Big Day, that it is often best to keep to a simple yet effective theme which is sure to please everybody.
Little girls between the ages of three and seven are particularly fond of dressing up and, if you buy, make or adapt your own angel costume, it can be used time and time again for dressing up and make-believe play. An angel fancy dress costume will also prove a great asset for the school nativity play come Christmas time!
This costume has stood the test of time. It was traditionally one of the favourite ways little girls liked to dress up. And now with the boom in costumes, mainly sourced from the far east, the market has increased 10 fold in the last 10 years.
Two of the other guests have also decided on role reversal, but in a different way. Caroline has chosen a fallen angel theme for her fancy dress costume and has found a racy little red and black number from an on-line retailer. She will also be sporting a pair of large dramatic black wings and, with black fishnet tights and stilettos, will no doubt look stunning. Her boyfriend, meanwhile, will be dressed as the angel Gabriel, in a flowing white gown made from decorators' dust sheets. She has bought his silver wings and glittery halo from a fancy dress retailer in an out-of-town shopping centre.
For my angel fancy dress costume, I have decided to go as a sexy silver angel. I have ordered from a store on the internet a strapless silver lam mini-dress trimmed with fake fur around the bustline and hemline. The dress is completed with a silver waist belt and buckle decorated with crystals.
If all this sounds too exhausting, especially with all the other aspects involved in organising a party or if you are not the creative type, then the easy alternative is to buy or hire an angel fancy dress costume. There are a number of specialist fancy dress retailers on line supplying a good choice of angel fancy dress costumes, or you could check out your local toy shop.
Don't forget to supply your little angels with suitably heavenly party food. Cupcakes or fairy cakes can be adapted into angel cakes. Cut a slice off the top of each cake, divide into two, place a teaspoon of butter cream into the void, and arrange a pair of "wings" on each cake. Sprinkle with edible angel dust and silver and gold dragees.
Angel "dolls" can be made from fondant icing, marzipan or gingerbread. Finally, for drinks, strawberry or vanilla milkshakes sprinkled with edible angel dust and topped with a strawberry halved into "wings" are sure to impress at your angel fancy dress costume party.
